Susan Schwartz, Principal/Owner, has many years of experience creating innovative, collaborative business solutions by combining technology and adult learning with a focus on customer satisfaction. She has proven experience in technical design and configuration for enterprise networks integrating voice, data, security, and information assurance and security elements. Additionally, she has motivated cross-organizational teams to achieve corporate goals, improved business productivity and support operations, and developed learning products that created revenue streams.
Her passion for working with virtual collaborative teams began as a member of the leadership team that built Wave Technologies International from a start-up operation to a global public company. During this time, she managed regional training operations, established a national field sales team, and led international product marketing efforts. Communicating with partners, clients, and internal trainers, Susan revitalized a dormant A+ technical support product line and expanded product revenues by 65% within the first 15 months.
She gained additional appreciation for "drinking from virtual water coolers" when she joined The Baan Company to lead an international team where she defined and implemented a globally consistent training strategy. The team, represented 10 countries, 5 functional support areas, and 5 product lines. They combined several technologies to create flexible blended learning solutions that could be tailored to meet individual product training requirements, reduce travel costs, and minimize non-billable consultant time.
Susan is a noted speaker and author in the areas of virtual collaboration, blended learning solutions, knowledge management, and real-time knowledge transfer strategies.
Based on her experience in organizational development and knowledge management projects, she developed a multi-level Business-Based Learning (BBL) model which overlays core business principles and sound adult learning practices. The BBL decision parameters can be applied to a wide variety of collaborative and learning situations enabling global teams to work together to achieve shared corporate goals.
Her technical background encompasses integated voice/data telecommunications, LAN/WAN technologies, as well as IT Security and Information Assurance.
